Wes Sullivan

Job title: Student Minister

On the Brook Hills staff since: 2004

Birthday: May 23

Family: My family consists of my wife Danielle and two pets. We've been married since May of 2004 and now live in Chelsea, Alabama. Other family members include our Great Dane Charlie and our Bobcat (actually, he is only 35% bobcat but who's counting) Miles. Danielle is on staff in the Production Department of a youth camp organization called Student Life. We met at Mississippi College where we both graduated and cheered competitively.

Ministry Calling: My passion is building and growing relationships with students of all ages. I specific enjoy working with students in middle school. I believe these years are a pivotal time in their lives where relationships are created and trust is being tested. My prayer is that their relationship with Jesus Christ would be set in a solid foundation and their relationship with God would be deepened, passionate and real. I truly desire to see students desire to serve God and serve people.

What I Enjoy About Serving at Brook Hills: I am constantly awed and humbled by the privilege to serve students and families in a manner that affects relationships, characters, and eternity.

Interesting and Unusual Facts: I played football in College (defensive end), cheered competitively, and coached tumbling, coed stunting, and gymnastics. I have also helped with a local cheerleading organization called ACE All-Stars who have won numerous national championships. I can throw my wife, from the ground, 15 feet in the air and balance her on one hand. I love big and unusual animals.

My Relationship with Christ: I grew up in a one-parent household but it was a strong Christian home. I was in the church every time the doors were opened. Our church had a basketball program that got me heavily involved and when I was 12 years old, I received Christ as my Savior during a message on the Lamb’s Book of Life. I later surrendered to full time ministry at a youth camp in the summer of 1997.
