More Details for Global Disciple-Making Travelers in 2007
We continue to receive questions regarding our Global Disciple-Making opportunities for 2007. We'll keep posting questions and answers online to the most general inquiries so that as much information as possible is at your fingertips...

Q. What Exactly Will I Be Doing On My Mission Trip?
A. The work on each international project is not dictated in advance. Now, that might sound at first like lack of planning, but this is done intentionally. Instead of pre-assigning good but relatively generic tasks, our desire is learn about your talents, gifts and abilities during pre-trip training sessions. You'll have a total of five such training sessions, once a month beginning about five months out from your trip.

The trip itself will then be geared around activities that work to your strengths. In this way, you’ll be doing what you do best, using that effort to serve and share Christ around the world.

Q. How Do I Apply for a Global Disciple-Making Trip?
Please contact the Global Disciple-Making Ministry at goglobal@brookhills.org or call 205.313.7777.

Q. When Is Money Due for My Trip?
A $200 deposit is due upon confirmation of your selected dates. This is non-refundable (because it is used to secure non-refundable airline tickets). At your planning meetings, your team leader will go over the total cost of your trip, as well as ways to raise any necessary financial support. God always provides for His mission, and we have never had to turn anyone away from a global opportunity for lack of funds.

Q. How Can I Form a Global Support Team?
The financial burden of going on mission is often a source of worry. As you pray and play for your international project, begin forming your support team. Ask family and friends to pray for you, and use the opportunity to gracefully inform them of your mission project and share an opportunity to participate. More...

Q. Can Family And/Or Friends Go With Me?
Yes. We encourage you to invite others to join you. They will simply need to complete the registration process and training just as you have in order to go. We require children traveling with parents to be at least 7 years of age.
